Ministers and Candidates Committee

A note from the Current Chairman   

This committee has been established to strengthen the "connectionalism" between the Gulf Coast Presbytery churches. We do that in several ways:

1) counseling with ministers and churches;

2) overseeing all candidates and interns for the Gospel ministry;

3) assisting vacant churches in securing qualified pulpit supply; and

4) when appropriate, this committee also acts as a commission of presbytery to dissolve pastoral relationships between ministers and churches and officially dismisses other ministers, licentiates, and candidates as God moves and calls them elsewhere.

As servants of the Lord Jesus Christ and members of this committee, our hope is that we would humbly fulfill our role in a way that pleases our presbytery fathers and brothers, edifies our member churches and brings glory to God. Please pray that our heavenly Father would bless our work as we seek to promote the peace, purity and unity of Christ’s Church here on the Gulf Coast of the panhandle of Florida and southern Alabama.
